The VCCS is proud to acknowledge teaching excellence in a variety of ways.

  • The Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence is a new initiative acknowledging one teaching faculty member who distinctly represents the teaching excellence found at VCCS college(s). The award provides the recipient with a VCCS medallion suitable for wearing with academic regalia and $5,000.
  • The SCHEV Outstanding Faculty Awards recognize excellence in teaching, research and service among the faculties of Virginia’s public and private colleges and universities. The VCCS is proud of the increasing numbers of community college faculty receive this award.
